Introduction to Management (MGT400)

What I’ve learned in introduction to management subject 

Each of students in Bachelor (Hons) of Food Service Management at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) have to take certain subject to complete their degree. One of the subject that I learned is Introduction to Management (MGT400). For my course this subject is a compulsory subject for student in semester 1. This subject was teached by our beloved and sporting lecturer, Tok Ayah. Through this subject, I have learned about management in the company and how to be a good leader not only in the job section but also become a leader in the family.

During our interview in Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia in Dungun, I have learned a lot about management process in this organization. We had interviewed the leader of Unit 2 in this organization named Encik Zulharis. In this organization, they have follow all management system consists of Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. All the system have been followed in order to make sure that all the management process can run smoothly so that all the emergencies cases can be handled quickly but one of the important things is the safety of their employee(firemen) are in a good condition.

After the interview, we have to present about the management system of Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia in Dungun in our class. All the information that we obtained from Encik Zulharis and their organization have been shared in the class with our friends and Tok Ayah. Moreover, during the presentation we have showed our cooperation in complete this assignment. This is also management process.

In addition, all the topic that I have learned in this subject are important and can be related to us as the leader and being a ‘Khalifah’ in this world. It can be apply to us all the time as this subject is a general subject that can solved the problem that related in human behaviour.
